Chicago
12 - 14 April 2023
On Wednesday, we took the red-eye from Honolulu to Chicago, landing at 6 A.M. This was the worst flight of the entire trip, Anthony slept a couple of hours but Julie didn’t sleep at all. We went to our friends Lisa and Mike’s house in Deerfield and had a 2 hour nap. We took the train back into Chicago to see the Cubs play the Mariners. We had lunch at the Cubby beer, where Julie made a new friend.
On Thursday, Lisa, Mike, Anthony and Julie went down to Navy Pier for an Architecture Boat Cruise up the Chicago River. It was a beautiful day for a boat ride, and we saw a century of architectural history.
After the boat ride, and a memorable ride down Lower Wacker Drive, we met Ann and Jim in Western Springs for dinner and a mini Alpha Gamma Delta reunion.

On the way back to Deerfield, we swung by the house Julie spent her first five years. We crossed Wolf Road on the drive there.
